Supernova Swap - Final Month

October is a very exciting month around here, quilting-wise. Not only is it my turn to be Queen Bee in the NQB Bee I'm in, it's also the final month of The Supernova Swap.

Because we're so close to the end, I got a bit excited and made my final block over the weekend. I'll have 10 total, but it's nice to have most of them done so I can play with different layouts.

Once I get my final block in the mail, I'll decide on my final layout. I'm also trying to decide what to do with the extra block....mini quilt? pillow? I don't know, but it's nice to see everything coming together!

Happy Wednesday!

  2. Lovely colors! I think a pillow would be great for the extra block.

  4. I think a pillow or piecing the extra block into the backing for the quilt would be good uses of the left over block. Congratulations for getting your blocks all finished! :)

  5. These are looking so good Kate! I like to work my extra blocks or fabric into my backs. A pillow would be great too.

  6. Perhaps you could use the extra block as part of the layout/label for the back? This colour palette is lovely! :)

  7. I have loved seeing these quilt blocks come together on IG with everyone making them. I've added the block on my must make list. Fabulous! Use the spare block to make a coordinating pillow to use when you use the quilt. :)

  8. Love all those colours! My partner and I decided on making an extra set of blocks each so we could have 12 blocks for our quilt as it didn't make sense to 'lose' one from the quilt!

  11. You could put the spare on the back or make another two for a 3 x 4 grid. Looking great!
